Team Brown What can Brown do for you?
Frequently Asked Questions - NVP Fraternity Affairs
Membership recruitment is a big concern within the organization, especially within the fraternity. Do you have a plan to revamp or streamline the membership recruitment process using a chapter best practices or similar method?
Yes, chapters will be supplied with resources from Nationals including standard handbills to be used in continual recruitment efforts as well as ongoing training regarding effective communication for recruitment. In cases of re-chartering or chapters with membership challenges, standard events will be developed and facilitated by Local Alumni chapters under the guidance of Regional Officers. Additionally, I plan to increase our fraternity’s online presence to aid in our recruitment efforts by highlighting fraternity members’ achievements on our national website and engaging in intentional public discussions via social media.

How do you plan to interact intimately with each chapter to see progress?
As we expand, traveling to every chapter and talking to every member will become more challenging. It is imperative that we take advantage of our annual events, especially National Convention and Frat Advance. My responsibility is to make sure that both events include intentional plans to stimulate the brotherhood and allow us to have that intimate interaction and collective growth. Additionally, my personal initiative NVPFAceTime will allow me to directly facilitate leadership development with undergraduate presidents. I will utilize a video-chat setup to regularly communicate with chapter leaders in efforts to strengthen them while also providing an opportunity for them to share and grow as a team. Finally, I plan on building a team around me to ensure that we are all progressing, reaching goals, and advancing our fraternity. (For the list of those positions, please see the presentation on my VISION page.)
