Team Brown What can Brown do for you?
"Stomp the Yard" - Vision of Curtis M. Brown, Candidate for National President
Objective: ANQ was created to take dominion on the college/university campuses across the country (and world). This administration will work to empower its members and supporters to gain influence on the college campuses where we are represented. The purpose of this influence is to gain entry into the lives of the students and/or faculty to the extent that they experience the power of Christ and His salvation. We will Hit the Campuses HARD…Stomping the Yard!
“You can not make a difference in someone’s life if you do not have entry in that life. The greater the awareness, the greater the influence on people’s lives and the access to their minds and hearts.” George Barna
Internal Relationships: LIFE for each other
Nationals will foster family relationships within ANQ by supporting and sponsoring inter-chapter and inter-region events.
Streamlined National Initiatives
We will provide resources to accomplish the National Initiatives in a smarter and more efficient manner – leaving more time for study, fellowship, family.
ANQ Yard @ ANQ University
ANQ Yard is a portal for members to network, socialize, edify, and encourage one another.
Matching Wisdom and Strength
There is a population of ANQ that is not active – our oldest members. These members hold the history, traditions, and wisdom of our organization. Just as we galvanized our founders we will likewise gather our seasoned members. The wisdom is critical to the consistency and legacy of our beloved ANQ. There is still a rites of passage that must continually take place.
External Relationship Building: LIFE for others
21st Century Evangelism
There are serious social concerns on the college campus. From depression and suicide to stress and homicide, the college population is comprised of REAL People with REAL Problems. ANQ has been set as a light on the campus. We must use new, creative, and effective ways to let our light shine.
- Internet/Video Evangelism
- Social Media
- Text Message Blasts
- Scripture based giveaways
- Member Paraphernalia (Specialty Marketing items)
- Mental Health: “Hope for LIFE”
Members and supporters are encouraged to maintain a consistent awareness of the resources available to college students and/or faculty on our campuses. Counseling Centers and Peer Counseling services must KNOW who we are and we must KNOW who are the points of contact. Nationals will provide marketing materials to be distributed throughout the campus. On a weekly (eventually daily) basis we will email, text, or tweet HOPEful messages. These messages will share HOPE from God’s word and point people to online resources for help if the feel hopeless.
Physical Health: Body for LIFE
This effort will promote obesity awareness, prevention, and reduction. We will promote physical health through healthy diets, physical fitness, and hygiene. Members are encouraged to either organize or participate in organized physical fitness on the campus. Make physical fitness a part of your daily life and motivate those around you to do the same.
Spiritual Health: Gospel for LIFE
Members will receive creative evangelism training at every national event. Our objective is to cause every member to be able to identify opportunities to share the Gospel and to be comfortable sharing those opportunities with the college population. We are going to keep it simple. The Gospel Message is simple…it’s rooted in Love. Nationals will help chapters identify opportunities to utilize university resources to spread the Gospel through campus-sponsored activities and the Arts
Goals:
Ministry: 50% campus population saturation with the Gospel each semester in the first two years. 75% saturation in the third year. 90% saturation is the fourth year. Alumni Chapters in each region to identify faculty and staff needs on the campuses they cover and do at least one targeted outreach program to address that population – offering REAL answers.
Membership: Every undergraduate chapter to grow to and maintain 10 active members by the end of the second year. Every Alumni Chapter to maintain 25 active members by the end of the second year. Nationals will work to revive every dying chapter by the end of the fourth year. Expansion will be limited to the east coast unless we have identified a school already in an existing region.
Money: A freeze or reduction on fees currently assessed to members. These reductions will be offset by increased membership and dues from currently inactive members. Additional resources will be solicited from the churches represented by our Honorary Members in the Joint College of Bishops.
Incentive Program
Nationals want to encourage the chapters and members in their efforts to fulfill the administrative vision. We want you to “Be Seen Giving LIFE” and “Get Caught Stomping the Yard”.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Chapter Advisors, Regional Directors, Founders, and National Officers will tour the campuses looking for opportunities to Reward members and chapters who are holding it down, taking dominion, standing out, and creating awareness. (Pizza Parties, Paraphernalia, Monetary Awards, Discount to National Events)
Reactivation Incentive: Members and/Chapters are encouraged to reach out to inactive Alumni members in order to reactive their membership by paying National Dues. The member of chapter who is directly responsible for reactivating 5 or more Alumni members will receive a discount on their dues (equal to the amount paid by the reactivated members). From Nov 2012-MLK Weekend 2013.
Lifetime Member Incentive: Inactive Members can reactivate at a reduced Lifetime Member fee of $500. Must be paid at one time.
